Your Question, Answered
Does Medicare Cover Dental Implants or Dentures?
Coverage confuses a lot of our Sun City patients — here’s a clear breakdown.

Quick Answer
The Short Answer
Original Medicare (Parts A and B) generally does NOT cover routine dental care, dentures or dental implants. However, many Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans include dental benefits, and some help with dentures or implants. Coverage varies widely by plan, so it’s important to check your specific Summary of Benefits.

Your Options to Make Care Affordable
If your plan doesn’t cover the treatment you need, you still have good options:
Medicare Advantage Dental Benefits
Many Part C plans offer an annual dental allowance that can offset cleanings, dentures or part of an implant. We’re happy to help you understand what your plan includes.
PPO Dental Insurance
We accept most major PPO dental plans and will verify your benefits before treatment so there are no surprises.
California Programs & Financing
California seniors may qualify for Medi-Cal Dental or the Donated Dental Services program. And for any balance, we offer CareCredit, Cherry and Sunbit financing to spread payments comfortably.
