Dental Bonding
A conservative, single-visit way to repair chips, close small gaps and reshape a tooth — usually with no drilling and no anaesthetic.

Conservative Cosmetic Care
Small Changes, Same Day
Bonding uses the same tooth-coloured composite resin as a filling, but applied cosmetically. We sculpt it directly onto the tooth, harden it with a curing light, then shape and polish it to blend with the surrounding teeth.
What Bonding Fixes Well
Chipped or worn edges, small gaps between front teeth, a tooth that’s slightly shorter or narrower than its neighbours, small areas of discoloration, and exposed root surfaces where the gum has receded — a very common concern for older adults, and one that also reduces sensitivity.
Bonding vs. Veneers
Bonding is faster, less expensive, needs little or no tooth removal, and is done in one visit — but it isn’t as stain-resistant or as long-lasting as porcelain. Veneers are the better choice for extensive changes or deeply stained teeth. For a chipped corner or one small gap, bonding is often the sensible, conservative answer.
Caring for Bonded Teeth
Composite can pick up stain over time from coffee, tea, red wine and tobacco, and it can chip if you bite something very hard. Treat bonded teeth as you would natural ones, keep up your cleanings, and bonding can be polished or repaired easily when needed.

Why Bonding Appeals
- Usually completed in a single visit
- Little or no tooth structure removed
- Often no anaesthetic needed
- Easily repaired or refreshed later

How long does bonding last?
Typically several years, depending on where it is and your habits. Front-edge bonding on someone who grinds will need attention sooner. The good news is it’s straightforward to polish, repair or replace.
Will it match my other teeth?
Yes — we shade-match the composite to your surrounding teeth before we start. Note that bonding doesn’t lighten with whitening, so if you’re planning to whiten, we do that first and match the bonding to the final shade.
